TERMS AND CONDITIONS
CEA requires all new entrants to sit for a compulsory RES course before taking the RES exam. Kindly note that only courses provided by CEA Approved Course Providers (ACPs) will be recognised by Exam Administrator and CEA. 
Upon completion of the RES course and receiving your certificate, you are required to pass the RES exam within 24 months from the date of Certification of Completion with Benchmark Realpro Pte Ltd (BRPL). After passing the RES exam, you must apply for registration or licensing through an Estate Agency to CEA within 24 months from the date of the exam certificate otherwise your certificate will not be valid for registration/licensing purpose.


1. Admission Criteria 

 

To attend the RES Course and to sit for the RES Exam, candidates must:


a. Be at least 21 years old

b. Be a Singaporean or Permanent Resident

Important Note:

  • If you intend to register as a real estate salesperson, please be reminded that you need to fulfill ALL salesperson registration criteria as stated on CEA's website:

Please also be informed that attending the RES Course and passing the RES Examination does not automatically qualify an individual to be a real estate salesperson. The applicant has to comply with the full registration requirements stipulated under the Estate Agents Act, which include meeting the fit & proper criteria. “For foreigners who wish to register with CEA as salespersons, they will need to have a valid Employment Pass (EP) issued by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM). They should consult an estate agent that is prepared to support their future registration application, who would then check with CEA. Thereafter, when they register for the RES Course, they will need to produce a letter of support from the estate agent."  


c. And must have:  

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION  REMARKS
(i) Minimum of 4 GCE ‘O’ levels passes
Must be different subjects in one or two (2) sittings 
(ii) GCE 'A' / 'O' level passes
Must be different subjects - at least 4 credits taken in Singapore 
(iii) Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) 

All 5 Modules must have at least level 5 or above

(iv) Full International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma IB Diploma certificate
(v) IP Year 4 or Year 6 internal examination results

Singapore national school-based Integrated Programme (IP) MUST pass at least 4 different subjects for their IP Year 4 or Year 6 examinations.  

(vi) Master NITEC Certificate
  • Old Certificate Title: National Technical Certificate 1 (NTC1) 
(vii) Higher NITEC Certificate 
  • Old Certificate Title: Industrial Technician Certificate (ITC)
  • Certificate in Business Studies (CBS) 
(viii) Diplomas from local Polytechnics
  • Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP)
  • Singapore Polytechnic (SP)
  • Temasek Polytechnic (TP)
  • Republic Polytechnic (RP)
  • Nanyang Polytechnic (NP)
(ix) Degrees from local Universities
  • National University of Singapore (NUS)
  • Singapore Management University (SMU)
  • Nanyang Technological University (NTU)
  • Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD)
  • Singapore University of Social Science (SUSS) formerly known as SIM University or UniSIM
  • Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT)

2. Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Assessment

The Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) assessments are computer-delivered English Language literacy and numeracy assessments developed by the British Council, in collaboration with SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG). They are used to assess English Language literacy in Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing, and Numeracy ability. Click HERE for more information and booking of WPLN assessment.

3. Applying CEA Qualification Assessment (For Overseas Or Private Education Certificate Only)

Candidates who wish to submit their qualifications (e.g. overseas qualifications or private diplomas) for assessment to determine if the qualifications meet the educational qualification requirement may email their:

Candidates must attach all supporting documents when submitting their application. CEA does not accept education certificates certified by a notary public as a form of verification proof. Candidates without original copies of the graduation certificates, are required to provide a letter of confirmation of award/duplicate copy from the issuing institutions/universities. For bachelor and above qualifications from China, candidates are required to provide a verification proof either from the China Higher Education Student Information and Career Center (CHSI) or China Academic Degrees & Graduate Education Information (CDGDC) if they do not have the original copies of their certificates. CEA will inform the candidate of the outcome of the qualification assessment.  

Qualifications assessed to be accepted in lieu of 4 GCE O-level passes for the purpose of RES course registration, RES examination registration, and registration to be a salesperson, are valid for a period of 3 years from the date of CEA's notification of the acceptance. A fresh application has to be re-submitted to CEA for qualification assessment once the 3-year period lapses. 

Applicants who have attained Level 5 and above for the Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) assessment in these 5 components (Reading, Listening, Speaking, Writing and Numeracy) will be recognised to have met the minimum qualification requirement of 4 GCE O-level passes. 4. Course Registration


Foreigners ARE NOT ALLOWED TO REGISTER for the RES Course without CEA's confirmation. Foreigners who have registered and paid for the RES Course without CEA's confirmation shall have $100/- administrative charges deducted and the balance shall be refunded to the foreigner.

No cancellation is allowed once fees are paid. There WILL NOT BE any refund of fees for non-attendance or withdrawals. Registration is on a first-come-first-served basis. NO Reservation is permitted. Confirmation of seats will be sent via email to participants upon receiving full payment. Registration during promotional period without receiving payment will be charged at "non-promotional" course fee when the promotional period ends.  
  • Promotional Price offer may end at any time without BRPL having to give any prior notice
  • To enjoy Promotion Price, payment must be made together at the time of registration
  • Registration is completed when payment is made

Kindly fill the RES Enrolment Form and attach your photocopy NRIC, Highest Qualification, full payment and email or send to Benchmark Realpro Pte Ltd (BRPL). BRPL reserves the right not to accept any applicant’s registration when the class is packed with full capacity. In such an event, BRPL shall refund the full course fee to the applicant or the applicant may choose to attend subsequent RES intake. BRPL shall inform the applicant via email and/or post of any non-acceptance of application.

5. Mode of Payment

Real Estate Salesperson Course Fee: $650.00 (No GST) - Excluding RES Examination Fee. 


Please ensure that you FULFILL THE ADMISSION CRITERIA mentioned in paragraph 1a, 1b and 1c or 1d BEFORE submitting your registration manually or online. Course fees WILL NOT be refunded if your certificate does not fall under any of these categories.

a. By online: Paypal / Credit Card

  • Paypal / Credit Card payment is available for applications submitted online only.
b. By Mail: Cheque Payment
  • Please make cheque payable to Benchmark Realpro Pte Ltd. Please indicate your FULL NAME and NRIC NUMBER on the reverse side of the cheque. Cheque payment must be cleared prior to attending the course. In the event of a returned cheque, an additional administrative fee of $30.00 shall be levied.
  • Mail Cheque, Registration Form and all relevant documents (Photocopy IC, Photocopy Qualification Certificate) to Benchmark Realpro Pte Ltd @ 151 Chin Swee Road #03-31 Manhattan House Singapore 169876.

c. In Person: Cash / Cheque payment

    • Please bring all relevant documents (i.e. NRIC, Educational Qualifications) and register directly at our office.
    • Office hours are from 9.00 am to 5.30 pm (Monday - Friday) and please avoid our lunch time from 12.30 pm to 1.30 pm. We are closed on Saturdays, Sundays & Public Holidays.

    Course fees WILL NOT be refunded if your certificate does not fall under any of the above categories or if you do not meet the minimum admission criteria. 

    In the event of double payment of RES Course fee, a $100.00 administrative charge shall be deducted from the excess amount paid before any refund is made.

    6. Attending RES Course
    Course participants must bring and show their Identity Card / Passport to BRPL for identity verification. BRPL reserves the right to reject any Course participants who fail to provide any form of identification.
    7. Certificate of Attendance / Reprint of Certificate of Attendance       
    There are 2 lessons per day. Certificate of Attendance will only be awarded to participants who fulfill a Minimum of 75% Attendance (i.e. 12 LESSONS OUT OF 16 LESSONS FOR 8 DAYS WEEKDAY RES CRASH COURSE OR 9 LESSONS OUT OF 12 LESSONS FOR 3 WEEKENDS RES CRASH COURSE). Signing your attendance at the beginning and at the end of each lesson is compulsory.  

    For ZOOM Online RES Course, web/video camera on your devices is COMPULSORY for recording of your attendance (i.e. face-to-face).

    There will NOT be any make up classes if participants are absent for any lessons.           
    In accordance to CEA’s regulation, Certificate of Attendance shall only be awarded at the end of the RES Course and not when the participants fulfill 75% of Attendance. 
               
    Participants who do not complete the minimum 75% Attendance will not be awarded the Certificate of Attendance at the end of the RES Course. 
    There will be a $10.00 administrative charge for any request for reprint of RES Certificate of Attendance. Participants concerned are to email to us with reason/s for such a request (e.g. lost of Certificate of Attendance). 
    8. Terms and Conditions / Amendments / Course Changes / Additional Notes
    BRPL reserves the right to change the terms and conditions or to change/cancel or make any amendments to the course / fees / dates / timings / venue / trainers / course contents / postpone / renaming of RES Intake or course without any prior notice. Full refund will only be made in THE EVENT OF COURSE CANCELLATION for whatever reason/s or in whatever circumstances. 
    For the avoidance of doubt, postponement means "to put off or defer to a later date" regardless of change of RES Intake numbering. For example, "the RES Course has been postponed to the following month or another date / RES Intake" SHOULD NOT BE INTERPRETED AS A CANCELLATION OF THE COURSE.

    Any additional notes sent to RES participants via email will not be printed by BRPL.

    9. Post-Course Review

    At the end of each course run, the ACP shall collect participants’ feedback on the course contents and delivery, course materials and trainers. All RES course participants are required to submit the Post RES Course Evaluation Form.

    Skillsfuture Singapore also requires Course participants to give Training Quality and Outcomes Measurement (TRAQOM) feedback. This is an initiative developed by SkillsFuture Singapore to raise the quality of SSG-funded courses.

    Hence, we seek your understanding and cooperation in these matters.

    10. Copyright & Prohibition on Audio and/or Video Recording (or any form of electronic recording, etc)

    It is hereby acknowledged by the course applicant that all course materials, additional notes, questions and answers, etc. provided remain always the intellectual property of BRPL unless otherwise stated. Course materials may not be reproduced in whole or in part without the prior written permission of BRPL. Audio and/or video recordings of the lessons are strictly prohibited for whatever reason/s. BRPL reserves the right to take any action as it deem fit. 

    11. Misconduct

    BRPL reserves the right to take any action on any participants who are unruly in their conduct and/or behaviour or who may cause unnecessary continuous disruption/distraction during any lesson or class.

    Benchmark Realpro Pte Ltd is committed to handling your personal data with care and ensuring your privacy under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). By providing us with your contact details from your enquiry, subscription and/or registration, you have given your consent to us for sending marketing and promotional information and materials to you by way of postal mail and/or telephone calls and/or facsimile and/or electronic transmission to your email address(es).

    If you wish to opt out of receiving marketing and promotional information and materials from us, please write or email to us separately. Kindly note that if you do not exercise your right to opt out of receiving such marketing information, you will be deemed to have consented to the receiving of such marketing information from Benchmark Realpro Pte Ltd.
